Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Central Coast Salsa! Here are the terms and conditions that we kindly ask you to review and follow:
1. Health and Safety
- We care about the health and safety of all our dancers. If you're feeling unwell or have flu-like symptoms (such as a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing), please stay at home and rest until you're feeling better.
- We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our dance community healthy and happy!
2. Enrolment and payment
- We're thrilled you're joining us for some dancing! To enrol, simply sign up for your preferred class in advance to secure your spot.
- Payments can be made via credit card, check, or cash, and we kindly ask for payment on time to avoid late fees.
3. Attendance and punctuality
- Our classes are a lot of fun, and we want you to get the most out of them. Please try to attend all of your classes and arrive on time.
- We understand that things come up, but if you're running late or won't be able to make a class, just let us know. You can let us know via our studio mobile, call, text, or email.
4. Dress code
- Come dressed in comfortable clothing that you can move in. Specific attire will vary by class, so please check with your teacher.
- Proper dance shoes with a smooth sole are required for some classes.
- If you're joining us for a performance, you'll receive more information about the required costume.
5. Conduct
- We believe that dance is for everyone and that everyone should feel welcome and respected. Please be mindful of your classmates, teachers, and equipment.
- Any behaviour that is disruptive or disrespectful will not be tolerated.
6. Injury and medical treatment
- Although we take every precaution to ensure a safe environment, please keep in mind that dance is a physical activity and there is always a risk of injury.
- If you have any medical conditions or injuries and are concerned about the suitability of participating in dance classes, we recommend:
- You speak with your doctor or treating professional, for example, physiotherapist, exercise physiologist, for professional guidance, and
- Please let us know so that we can do our best to accommodate you.
- In case of injury, we may require a doctor's note before allowing you to participate in class
7. Performance opportunities
- We believe that everyone should have the chance to perform and showcase their skills. Throughout the year, we offer several performance opportunities, including events, showcases, recitals, and competitions.
- Participation is always optional, but we encourage you to take part and have some fun.
- For performances, you may be responsible for purchasing a costume and paying performance fees. Further information will be provided during the performance classes.
8. Refunds and cancellations
- Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for missed classes.
- For events and performances, there will be no refunds.
9. Intellectual Property
- We're proud of the amazing dance moves, turn patterns, choreographies, and teaching methods that we use in our classes and events. These are all the property of Central Coast Salsa, and we work hard to protect them.
- We kindly ask that you respect our intellectual property by not using or reproducing our material without permission, and thank you for your understanding!
10. Liability waiver
- To participate in our classes, you'll need to sign a waiver releasing us from liability for injury or damage to personal property
11. Privacy policy
- We collect personal information for enrolment and billing purposes. This information will not be shared with third parties.
- From time to time, we may take photographs or videos of our classes, events, and/or performances for promotional purposes. If you do not consent for photographs or videos of you to be used in any and all media publications, please let us know.
12. Media Release
- By participating in classes at Central Coast Salsa, you agree to Central Coast Salsa using images or video content from classes and events for marketing purposes.
13. Student Conduct and Communication Policy
- To maintain a respectful and inclusive environment for all students, it is against Central Coast Salsa policy for any student to prospect, solicit, or request personal information from other students. This includes initiating private group chats or messaging students privately without their consent.
- All communication, feedback, or questions regarding classes, events, or studio matters must be directed to the CCS Team via our official email at dance@centralcoastsalsa.com.au. Please do not contact staff member’s personal contacts on studio related queries. Any student-to-student related communication should occur through your assigned Class Band Group, which are monitored and moderated to ensure a safe and positive community experience.
- Violations of this policy may result in a warning, removal from group platforms, or suspension from classes.
